Almost halfway through the year, we’re excited to see what the next few months have in store for us when it comes to music. For now though, we’re focusing on the big album releases of June, so without further ado, here are 5 Albums Out This June We Can’t Wait To Hear…
Now gearing up for the release of their seventh studio album, All Time Low will with this record be releasing their first set of material with Fueled by Ramen on board. Having already admitted to ‘exploring darker tones’ with this LP, we’re excited to see just how far they push themselves with this collection of new songs. The teasers so far have been incredible; this could be All Time Low’s best album to-date.
It’s hard to believe this is London Grammar’s second studio album, because their presence in the music industry is something that feels like it’s been felt for some time now. The British trio will be hoping to replicate the success of their debut, and perhaps will even be aiming to improve upon it. If they stick to their winning style, that shouldn’t be hard.
Now set to release their sixth studio album, Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott lived under the same rented roof in Florida while recording this album, before moving on to a Pacific Ocean retreat in Southern California. Working with the likes of Busbee, Nicolle Galyon, Sara Haze and Will Weatherly, the trio co-wrote all but two of the tracks on the new album, with Shane McAnally, Ryan Hurd and Eric Paslay also serving as co-writers. Expect this one to rake in the awards.
If one thing’s for sure, Katy Perry isn’t bothered about hitting the top of the singles chart with the material set to be a part of ‘Witness’. Now she’s exploring genres usually left to other artists, and finding herself as a musician and artist once more. What we’ve heard so far may not have been her best work to-date, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t excited to see what she’s got up her sleeve just yet.
Known to many as a world class singer and even finding a fan in the late David Bowie, Lorde returns in the middle of June with the release of her new studio album ‘Melodrama’. We’ve already heard a couple of tracks from the record, with ‘Green Light’ especially making a great impression. Lorde isn’t somebody who’ll restrict herself to the usual formula that works for a song, instead allowing herself to escape the chains of constriction and come up with a truly ground-breaking piece of work. We expect that will continue with her latest release.
