"Frozen" is a hectic and disturbing investigation. Under a snowstorm, at the terminus of a cable car, the corpse of a headless horse is found. Captain Servaz is called, accompanied by a young local captain. The two will explore the region in an icy cold, all in a heavy atmosphere. This is reinforced by a prison psychiatric center where a serial killer is detained. He is related to the captain's past, and one of his hair is found on the crime scene while he has no contact with the outside.

- We loved the book
In the same vein as "The Girl of the Train", "Frozen" is above all a book, a thriller from which it is difficult to detach. Imagined by Bernard Minier, it is now adapted in series of several episodes whose scenario seems faithful to the initial story. From the beginning, one enters a mysterious and astonishing universe that leaves no respite to the reader. Panting to the end, it is a must-have for fans of thrillers, to read or to re-read.
- The "icy" decor that accentuates the mystery
It all begins with the setting up of an unusual decor, in a snowy valley of the Pyrenees, in the middle of December during an icy day. Even before the panting story begins, we are confronted with a mysterious and bewitching atmosphere in which we are assured that the environment will participate in the unfolding of the thriller and this strange investigation. Through the book, we can imagine perfectly the scenes that the series retranscribes perfectly.
- A thriller taking
In "Frozen", the suspense is at its height. If history does not leave the reader with any respite, it does not leave it to the characters. The clues follow each other, the surprises are linked, as well as the unexpected. The police plot contributes to the knowledge of each protagonist, and the scenery reinforces the disturbing spirit of the case. Everything is there to keep us up to the end.
- An extraordinary casting
For this mini series, M6 is strong. In addition to proposing a very good realization, the series is offered a casting of quality, with, in the spotlight, Charles Berling. The latter incarnated Captain Martin Servaz, in charge of the investigation. He will be supported by a young captain of the gendarmerie, Irène Ziegler, played by Julia Piaton. Charles Berling is great in this interpretation of an investigator with his cap screwed on his head, his mysterious gaze and his fierceness.
- An award-winning series
In September 2016, the "Frozen" series with six episodes received the prize for the best series of the year at the Festival de la fiction TV in La Rochelle. A reward to take seriously that confirms its quality, its skillfully executed, its brilliant cast, all inspired by intriguing Scandinavian series, and of course born of the fantastic to discover if not yet done!
