The Vertical Movie Awards by UNISEP is the first vertical film contest, launched by UNIon associative to fight Multiple Sclerosis (UNISEP) to support the fight against multiple sclerosis . The subject of the contest? "Show what is not seen". A strong theme that candidates must reflect in their production, in an astonishing and creative way and, above all, by filming vertically. To your smartphones!
An unpublished vertical film contest open to all
The call for projects is launched from 22 January to 15 April 2018 and open to all . Film, reportage, cartoons, motion design, color or black and white ... all writing styles are welcome. The only condition? That the production is carried out vertically! An unconventional format, but very popular in recent years with the advent of smartphones and stories, these micro-film shared all-out on social networks such as Snapchat and Instagram. One way, above all, to show this disease from a new angle.
A jury made up of film personalities
No contest without a jury! For this 2018 edition, UNISEP brought together personalities from the world of cinema, television and new media. Journalist Serge Moati, former Minister Roselyne Bachelot, Olympic figure skating medalist Philippe Candeloro and youtubeur Sofyan, among others, make up the Grand Jury , which will reward the laureates at a ceremony held in May 2018 . The winners' films will be broadcast on major national media and on social media, including Facebook and YouTube, the contest partners. As for the winner, UNISEP will give him a check for 3000 €.
Multiple sclerosis, a disease that can not be seen
Multiple sclerosis , also known as MS, is a neurological, chronic, disabling condition that creates plaques in the brain. The leading cause of disability among young people (excluding accidents), MS affects nearly 100,000 people in France . This disease, whose origin is unknown and which still does not have a curative treatment, causes very diverse but often invisible symptoms : intense fatigue, difficulty concentrating, neuropathic pain ... Through this competition, UNISEP wishes to fight against prejudices around MS and "show what is not seen".
