Barnet forward Dave Tarpey is likely to miss the remainder of the season through injury.
The 28-year-old, who joined the Bees from non-league Maidenhead on the final day of the summer transfer window, hurt his knee against against Cambridge on Saturday.
He was carried from the pitch on a stretcher after only seven minutes of his side's 3-1 victory, and subsequent scans have revealed damage to his anterior cruciate ligament.
Barnet head coach Rossi Eames told the club's website on Wednesday: "It's looking like a long-term knee injury, which is a real shame.
"He will begin his rehab process as soon as possible and we will be looking after him closely throughout that."
