A watch to pay
NFC technology? A simple way to pay for purchases as no code is required. For now, it is cards with a chip or phones that have them. Now they are the Swatch watches. The brand specializing in watchmaking will offer this process in Switzerland in mid-June 2016, thanks to a partnership with the bank Corner. Technologically speaking, the watch incorporates an NFC antenna and a non-contact visa chip that allow it to become a watch for payment and pay for purchases.
And the security of the Bellamy?
NFC technology itself is quite safe. But above all, there is no distinctive sign on the Swatch that allows it to be identified as a means of payment. In addition, since you have to pre-load the card with an amount you choose, even if you get the watch stolen, you do not risk seeing your account charged large sums.
Where to find this watch?
The Swatch Bellamy watch was originally introduced in China in the fall of 2015. It is now available in Switzerland starting in mid-June 2016 when 3 models will be available. Like the other Swatch watches, the Bellamy have a fun and colorful design.
