In twenty years, Burberry successfully launched a dozen fragrances, but the British brand had been working on a more emblematic project for several years, able to faithfully embody the evolution of its fashion.
The fragrance Burberry Body was born from this desire of Christopher Bailey, artistic director of the house, to assume a legacy and to anchor in modernity. Its faceted bottle looks like a jewel. Careful in the finest finishes, it reveals in its transparency a juice "golden rose" and its hood is engraved of the tartan house.
In the Intense Eau de Parfum version, it even comes with a lovely suede nude pocket.
The fragrance, created by Michel Almairac, is sensual and feminine. The Turkish rose damascena blooms, escorted by musk, velvety peach, vanilla and cashmere wood. A touch of green absinthe refreshes and twists the whole, like a nice English accent.
We also welcome the originality of the launch, associated with the creation of a fashion collection "capsule". Rich idea.
