inspiration
In nearly twenty years, Burberry has already launched a dozen fragrances, from Burberry Classic to Burberry Sport, via London or The Beat. This time, Christopher Bailey himself, general manager of the creation, has worked on a more personal fragrance, directly related to fashion: Burberry Body. Forms, colors, code, scent, everything is meant to faithfully evoke the trench cult to dress delicately the body.
The composition
A woman naked under a trench evolving in an English garden ... This image has infused the perfumer Michel Almeirac with the idea of a beautiful Turkish damascena rose, lighted with green absinthe and then caressed with a creamy background fondling sandalwood, amber, musk, vanilla and Kashmir wood.
On the skin
The rose, combined with musk and velvety peach, clearly plays the card of sensuality and extreme femininity. The absinthe green, original and refreshing, participates in its indispensable accent "British".
The communication and the bottle
Under the goal of Mario Testino, British actress and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley poses nude under a golden rose satin trench coat. The glass object, faceted like a diamond, reveals in its transparency a juice of the same shade. It is surmounted by an engraved hood of the tartan.
