Manchester City duo Fabian Delph and Joe Hart are both being linked with a switch to Newcastle before the new season begins.
The City duo are surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium, but there is no shortage of interest in them, and the Magpies are the latest club to make an approach, reports have claimed.
Stoke City are already thought to have shown their hand by making a £12million bid for Delph, who has been unable to force his way into the City side under Pep Guardiola, and Newcastle are now also thought to have made a move.
The 27-year-old was a revelation for Aston Villa, form which lead to him joining City, but it has not worked out and he is champing at the bit to find a club and play regular first-team football.
The same can be said of Hart, who despite being linked with a host of clubs throughout the summer, has yet to get fixed up, and would no doubt be interested to hear what Rafa Benitez had to say if an approach was made.
