Reading as a source of personal enrichment

Strangely, according to the French, the first advantages of reading do not lie in pure leisure or escape, but in the idea of ​​deepening his knowledge to 97%.

The notion of pleasure is finally not very far, since it is in second position of the advantages, with 92% of the French who express this feeling.

According to them, the book is also a way to open one's mind, to learn about the world around us, to find a way to enrich oneself personally.

Reading, openness to another form of social life

The second major axis that emerges from this survey, after the opening of the mind, is the opening towards others.

If reading clubs exist, it is not for nothing: according to 74% of the French, one of the advantages of reading is the relationship that can be established with other readers.

65% of them also think that a book helps to learn more about oneself, sometimes calling for reflection. And in this same perspective, the book would make a success of his professional life. Since it opens up to others, it certainly allows greater empathy that can be recognized at work.
