Danny Dyer is reportedly set to compete on 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!'

The 40-year-old actor is rumoured to be jetting down under to take part in gruesome Bushtucker trials in the upcoming series of the popular ITV show, which is presented by comedy duo Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, The Daily Star has reported.

And, according to Betfair, the 'Eastenders' hardman - who portrays Mick Carter on the longstanding BBC soap - is a current favourite to take part in the programme with the betting odds standing at 2/1 for him to enter the jungle this year.

However, the dark-haired hunk has yet to confirm or deny whether he will be heading to the Australian outback in a bid to nab the title King of the Jungle.

Meanwhile, reality star Gemma Collins, who has made no secret that she'd like to head back into the outback later this year after she quit the creepy-crawly show a little prematurely in 2014, is set to make a sensational return to the show this year.

And it is believed bosses are keen to sign the 'The Only Way Is Essex' star up again after host Declan backed her return.

A source previously said: "Gemma has been backed by Dec, he thought she was really good [last time she was on] and he told Gemma she would be great if she came back to the show.

"She's riding on the crest of a wave right now - she's doing well on 'TOWIE', she massive on social media after all the memes and and everyone is a bit obsessed with her.

"She in talks to sign up but it's early days. Nothing is set in stone yet.

"Producers know there's a bit of heat around her right now so she would be great on the show. Gemma really wants a chance to prove herself and set the record straight."

The next instalment of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' will hit television screens in the autumn time but, as of yet, not much is known about the forthcoming series.
