A drink driver drove a stolen golf buggy to McDonalds.
Northamptonshire Police were forced to track down the unnamed driver in the early hours of Saturday (16.09.17) morning after he stole a golf buggy and made the decision to drive to the McDonald's in Towcester for a late night snack.
Special Inspecter Rawson told Metro.co.uk that the man was eventually caught on the A45 near Daventry, after having driven 15 miles from his McDonalds stop off toward the town.
SI Rawson also said the officers on duty arrested him on suspicion of drink driving and stealing the vehicle, and a Northamptonshire golf course has since reported one of its buggies to be missing.
Rawson said: ''Things like this seem to rarely happen, in my 13 years this is a first that I have heard of. My colleague who was on shift and dealt with this said if he hadn't been there he probably wouldn't have believed it had occurred.''
