Emilia Clarke couldn't sleep for nights because she is afraid to screw up the last season of 'Game of Thrones'.
The 30-year-old has been part of the popular fantasy series as Daenereys Targaryen since the beginning. She now confessed to 'Elle Australia' that she was terrified of not living up to the high expectations of the fans. "Oh god, I had sleepless nights because of that. 'Oh, you're going to waste it. It's the last season and it's going to go wrong," she says.
Fortunately, the actress could always rely on her friends: "[They] say 'This is you - you and Daenerys are now one and the same person. You have to trust your instincts'." But she herself is still very insecure: "I mean 'No, I have to do more research'." Because the actress simply "does not want to disappoint" and constantly deliver her best performance.
In the past, the pretty brunette has been criticized for making sex and nude scenes - even though 'Game of Thrones' is explicitly famous for this raw footage. "It's very anti-feminist in itself. Women who hate other women are the problem," says the British. That's why she enjoyed her sex scene with her co-star Michiel Huisman so much: "I actually went to [the screenwriters] David Benioff and DB Weiss and thanked them for it."
