We embark for Girona from Perpignan aboard the Frogbus (Frogbus) which offers tickets at 27 € A / R. Once there, Barcelona fiestas are not far away: shuttles make the journey to Barcelona for about 20 euros the A / R only from the airport of Girona.
By car
Some 200 km to Barcelona, 2 hours trip: 30 € , fuel and tolls included. The idea is to carpool to share the bill.

One pays 31 € the way from Perpignan, for 2 h 30 of journey, leaving the last week of August.

To us the lagoon: c hez Ryanair, we fly for 66 € (A / R) . But we take off from Beauvais (15 € the shuttle journey from Paris) and, at this rate, the flights reserve at least 3 months in advance. We put on the company Thello, with departures for Venice from Paris or Dijon from 35 € in compartment 6 berths.

By car 250 € from Paris (tolls and gas included).
Titine in Venice, a pedestrianized city, is not really recommended. Parking is often overpriced (at the Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma car parks, rates are as high as € 26 per day).
If you are traveling, you should park in Mestre on the mainland and take the train to Venice through the lagoon or to the Marco Polo airport car park, which is cheaper (approx. transportation.

Good news, Easyjet serves the German capital from Lyon. For a departure in mid August, we pay 44 € the way. Lufthansa also often offers deals for Berlin at 99 € a / a from Paris or Lyon.
GermanWings offers good prices from Nice, Lyon, Paris, Toulouse, Strasbourg or Corsica.
We take the opportunity to discover other major German cities, such as Cologne or Munich (a Nice-Cologne trip, taken 4 months in advance: € 29).

By train
With the German Deutsche Bahn network, and its Europa-Spezial package, tickets are available for Germany from € 39 . There is even a special rate for Paris-Saarbrücken (€ 29).
Only downside: these special rates are quota and only a few places per train (you have to get there early).
But what is worth the cost: the under 15s do not pay if they travel with an adult.

By coach with Eurolines, it is 71 € the A / R from Strasbourg or Lille (from 3 to 9 September, for example).
It takes about 9 hours 30 minutes to get there.

W.-E. to Rome from Nantes
By plane
The good compromise to reach Rome: Transavia, the low cost airline of Air France. Starting from € 55 one way, but beware of dates. No departure on Friday, but on Saturday (good to know if you plan to leave on the weekend). Interesting prices also via Vueling (55 € one way for a departure in September).

By car 80 € of tolls from the city of Nantes and 229 € of fuel in total.
If one comes from the north of France, from Alsace, for example, passing through Switzerland can be advantageous since one thus avoids all the tolls. On the Swiss side, you have to pay a sticker (33 €), but it is valid for one year and gives access to all motorways of the country.
