Bourjois's "Soir de Paris" was conceived in the 19th century and had a worldwide success when it was exported to the United States from 1928. Yet the bet was not won. "Evening of Paris" suffered from a bad reputation at its launch. These light and floral notes made her pass for a perfume of women of little virtue.
