Manchester City midfielder Fernando has left the club and joined Turkish giants Galatasaray for an, as yet, undisclosed fee.

The midfielder saw his involvement with the City first team cut back under Pep Guardiola, making just one start last season, although he made 26 appearances from the bench.

The 30-year-old signed from Porto for £12million in 2014 and helped City win the EFL cup over Liverpool back in 2016 and he leaves with fond memories.

He said: “It's been a pleasure to play for Manchester City."
