Harry Styles didn't have time to worry about his private life while filming 'Dunkirk'.

The 23-year-old will soon be seen on screen for the first time as an actor. In the war drama directed by Christopher Nolan, the musician plays the role of soldier Alex. Now he revealed that his focus was always on the success of the film, not what critics would think of his own performance.

He said, "When I heard that Chris was going to make the film, I was kind of looking forward to watching it. I think it's something I've always been looking forward to since I've never been part of it." The former One Direction singer told Screen Rant that he really enjoyed working with Nolan, one of the most talented directors in Hollywood. Together, everyone, especially the actors - including none other than Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Mark Rylance - would have worked towards the same goal: "Everyone was so passionate about Chris' set and it's contagious. He creates this environment, where everyone is focused and wants to do the best for the film and make it as good as it can be, and I think there is no time to think about something private. "

'Dunkirk' will be shown in German cinemas from July 27th.
