A perfume has a three-part architecture.

Head notes : that one feels as soon as the vaporization.
Heart notes : which are much more voluptuous and appear only after a few minutes.
Background notes : which are the heaviest and which keep the perfume long.

The olfactory families

What you should know is that at the design of a perfume, the perfumer does not predetermine whether the fragrance will be masculine or feminine. The technical development of the formula is identical in both cases. So the perfume has no sex!

Chypre fragrances
That include bergamot chords, oak moss, rose and patchouli. These fragrances are both rich and stimulating.

The perfumes Hesperides (or fruity)

This family is that of fresh waters.

Oriental perfumes
Which are a sweet mix of powdered musks, spices, precious amber woods and vanilla.

Floral fragrances

Woody fragrances
Which correspond either to warm notes like patchouli, or to cooler notes like cedar and pine, sandalwood or vetiver.

Aromatic fragrances
Which are based on the essence of one or more aromatic herbs such as lavender, mint, rosemary or even sage.

Eau de toilette, perfume or extract: how to find one?

The difference lies in the concentration of the perfume.
