Brigitte Macron, who recently joined the ranks of First Lady of the French Republic, appears regularly wearing a banana bun that could well become her trademark.

Gianni Coppa, an expert hairdresser, explains how to reproduce it, but not that: he also revealed the secrets of his cut and coloring.

How to make a classic banana bun?

Hardware:

  • Brush of wild boar hair
  • Flat pliers (if possible hair color)
  • Spray texturizing
  • Lacquer

Step 1: Brush the entire hair back.

Step 2: Plate the neck and fix with 3 to 5 flat pliers.

Step 3: Crepe the loose part towards the pliers, roll it in and fix with flat pliers.

Step 4: Crepe the top according to the desired volume.

Step 5: texture to root and place hair as desired.

Step 6: Secure with flat clips.

Step 7: Draw some wicks around the face and finish with a veil of lacquer.

What (other) hairstyles achieve on a long square?

For the cup, "We ask for a square slightly under the shoulder, this length makes it possible to keep volume, here the First Lady has mass so it has a gradient that allows to create shape", specifies Gianni Coppa.

"It's a length that offers a lot of possibilities, it can attach them like with his bun for example but also work only the upper half of his hair."

Brigitte: Brushing impeccable otherwise nothing

The secret of perfect brushing of Mrs. Macron? Movement.

To start, we choose a brush of average diameter which allows to create a "relaxed" brushing.

Then, the brush is raised (while following the wick with the hairdryer) to remove the roots, then it goes down to smooth the hair thinking to orient the points inwards.

The secrets of her blond

This type of color is not suitable for everyone. It is therefore necessary to see with his hairdresser what shade of blond is the best adapted and take into account its natural color but also its complexion.

"Brigitte Macron has dark blond hair in her roots, her lengths are a blonde shade obtained at the repetition of the sweeps, leaving the roots to create depth," said the capillary expert.

What should you ask your hairdresser?

"We are asking for an ash-blond root with a baby light on the lengths. It's a very fine sweep that brings light."

How to maintain it?

"You have to adopt a routine for sensitized and colored hair. The hair needs moisture and needs repair."
