The job interview is a key step in recruitment. Often faster than conventional maintenance, this exercise still requires some preparation. So, to put all the chances on your side, here are 4 tips to overcome the test with serenity.
Prepare a job interview by phone
Before accepting the interview, make sure to be in a quiet environment, where you are not likely to be disturbed by someone (which could be very destabilizing). Exit, therefore, noisy coffee maintenance of the corner. We choose instead a quiet room, at home, and off TV, radio ... We also think of the answering machine. No question of landing on the first ring! We let the recruiter give us (re) a maximum of details about his offer. And we settled down with a CV and cover letter under our elbow to answer him. Attention to our answering machine greeting, it must be audible and nominative: "Hello, you are on the answering machine of X, leave me a message, I will get back to you as soon as possible".
What to do during the phone conversation
The interview early and prepared at best, we remain attentive during the conversation because that's where everything is played. During the interview, we listen attentively to our interlocutor and collect all the information that may be useful at the next appointment. Do not forget to bring a pen and a small notebook, so you do not forget anything at the end of the conversation. We also try not to allow the conversation to be diluted without asking the other person the next steps of the application. One thinks in particular to ask: "Could we meet soon so that I present you my project orally?".
