Lorde was stuck in a subway.
The singer had to stay with her captive for hours on the train under New York and even managed to remain almost undetected.
The 'Green Light' hitmaker was recognized by a few people, but they were kind enough not to say out loud who was on the train with him. In the show 'Late Night' she tells of the experience: "The people were very sweet. One looked so important and I only did 'Pscht'. But I sat on the floor for four hours and everything I could think of was that I had some oatmeal stashed in my pocket. If anyone had found out, it would have been valuable goods down there. I thought 'this is your family now. You will be down here forever'. "
But the bizarre train chaos had something positive. The 20-year-old thought it was almost romantic. "There is something romantic about it. When you work in the studio, you are so isolated and hanging out with other people somehow reintroduced me into society."
