Ron Wood doesn't want to give in on the fight against lung cancer.

The 70-year-old Rolling Stones rocker has just shocked his fans with the news that he was diagnosed with the serious illness in May. He told the 'Event' magazine that he was even expecting to die soon. Now his ex-wife Jo Wood, from whom he separated in 2009, has commented on the health status of the musician. "Ronnie can not get down. He is as tough as old boots and now he is fine," she tells the newspaper 'The Sun'. The star is also absolutely ready for the European tour of the Stones, which starts next month and in which the band will make 13 appearances.

Jo also reports that she no longer has any bad feelings for her ex after he ended his marriage with his affair with the waitress Ekaterina Ivanova. "If you let things get lazy, you get bitter and you can't enjoy life. It is better to forgive and be happy. Ronnie is my friend," she says.
