Gaming enthusiasts are being offered the chance to play 10 hours' worth of 'Mass Effect Andromeda' for free.

Until November, EA is giving video game lovers the opportunity to sample the thrills and spills of the title via a free trial that includes single-player and multiplayer options.

Players are able to download the game without charge on PC, Xbox One and PS4, meaning there is plenty of opportunity to try your hand at the exciting game.

However, developer BioWare previously ruled out making the game available on the Nintendo Switch.

Although EA had hinted that 'Andromeda' could come to the Switch as well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows, developer BioWare ruled it out.

The firm said: "We're not planning on it."

'Mass Effect: Andromeda' producer Mike Gamble previously talked of how the company does not plan to introduce the game for the Switch, but he left the door open for the possibility of an integration of 'Andromeda' onto the console in the future.

Gamble said: "Not right now, no".

However, he also added that when "the Switch launches" if fans are "just yammering for 'Mass Effect', who knows".
