Leeds Rhinos boss Brian McDermott has hailed Tom Briscoe for his recent form following their 44-2 win over Salford on Friday night.
The Rhinos put the Red Devils to the sword at Headingley as they ran in eight tries to end Salford's hopes of a top-four finish this season.
One of the try scorers under the lights in Leeds was winger Briscoe, who has come under some criticism this season for some high-profile errors.
However the 27-year-old put in a fine performance on Friday night and McDermott was full of praise for the England international.
He was quoted by the BBC, saying: "I've got to say Tom Briscoe, and you all know where he's been this year, that type of performance under that amount of pressure is not to be sniffed at.
"Every team kicks to him and he's answered all the questions over the last two months. He's had a pretty good offensive game as well.
"What he's demonstrated is he's an unbelievably strong character. He's got nerves of steel. That was the best game he's had for us for about two years."
