Heath Ledger's death took Naomi Watts very hard.
The 48-year-old actress dated the Hollywood star who died in 2008 from an overdose of prescription medication. The two were a couple from 2002 to 2004 and now the 'Gypsy' actress opens to the death of her ex-boyfriend. Thinking back on the day of Heath's death, Naomi says: "It was a very sad day."
In an upcoming documentary about the life of the 'The Dark Knight' star, who died far too soon, his ex-girlfriend talks about the actor. The film, which is to be aired on Channel Seven in Australia, also includes interviews with Heath's family and friends, as well as private videos. Even though Naomi no longer dated the swarm of women at the time of his death, the artist is clearly emotional in the preview clip for the documentary, according to 'Daily Mail'.
In an interview with 'More' in 2011, she already made clear that Naomi has nothing to say about Heath. There she described the actor as "really a very special soul" who had "a great influence on [her] life". He was a "great actor" for her and she felt that it was "such a tragedy for his little daughter" that the movie hero had left life.
