Niall Horan has this weekend reached the top spot on the US Top 40 Radio Chart with his single ‘Slow Hands’, proving that the former member of One Direction is still a force to be reckoned with in his solo career.

The news comes before the release of Niall’s solo debut album ‘Flicker’, set for release on October 20, and the singer couldn’t be more excited to hear the news of his chart position.

He said: “You’ve no idea how much this means to me. When I wrote this song there was no way I thought it would do stuff like this. Thank you so much.”

‘Slow Hands’ has already seen major success around the world, becoming platinum-certified not only in America, but in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and The Netherlands. The song even went straight in at number 1 on iTunes upon its release in 44 countries.

Since then, Niall has been previewing songs from his upcoming record and even announced a world tour, with dates across the globe next year. Further dates are to be announced, but if early sales are anything to go by, it’s going to be one of 2018’s most successful outings.

Niall’s new single ‘Too Much To Ask’ is out now, with new album ‘Flicker’ available to buy, download and stream from October 20.
