When the largest fast food chain in the world embarks on a solidarity operation , we approve! More than 950 McDonald's restaurants are mobilized throughout France in June 2016 (and in August in Ile-de-France ) as part of the "Sharing the Heart" operation to support the Ronald McDonald Foundation. Created in 1994, this association puts the family at the heart of its commitment by opening near hospitals houses for families of children hospitalized.
The principle of the operation "Sharing the heart" is simple: with our usual best of usual (or not), we can now buy a nice little colorful bracelet to 1 euro. This silicone bracelet displays a message on the background of word play ("We are all 20 hearts" for example). The funds raised by the sale of the bracelets will be entirely donated to the 9 houses welcoming parents of hospitalized children or parenthesis Ronald McDonald (which opened in Arras in 2013). Located near health centers or sometimes even within hospitals, these spaces allow hospitalized children to stay close to their families , and we all know that this can be crucial in the healing process.
We have (finally) a good excuse to give in to the Big Mac's call. But beware, the operation will only last one week depending on the restaurants.
