Justin Rose claims he has a "realistic chance" of lifting the FedEx Cup ahead of this week's deciding Tour Championship in Atlanta.
The 37-year-old Englishman moved up to eighth in the overall FedEx Cup standings after securing a second-placed finish behind Marc Leishman at the BMW Championship - the third event of the four-tournament series - in Chicago on Sunday.
Rose, who missed the cut at the PGA Championship last month, has recovered in the FedEx Cup events, with two 10th places ahead of the runner-up place at the weekend.
The 2013 US Open winner accepts the top five players are in a better position to win the FedEx Cup and $10million bonus, but he feels a win at East Lake will be enough to see him come out on top.
"I feel good about being in eighth,” Rose said. "I’ve given myself a realistic chance. The guys in the top five still have to have a really good week to beat you out. I won’t be totally in control of my own destiny in Atlanta but it’s not far off."
