Recipes from around the world
We take advantage of the Football World Cup to discover foreign cuisines and traditional local dishes. Lovers of meat can feast with meat pies , these meat pies very popular in Australia, or the empanadas argentines, little slippers stuffed with minced meat, chicken, cheese ... Very practical to taste and quick to prepare, moroccan chicken kebabs are also a good idea. Rather fish? In this case, we put on fresh salmon, sublimated in maki and Japanese sushi , or smoked salmon on sandwiches of Swedish crisp bread or Russian blinis . If we prefer hot dishes, we make bacalhau pastéis , croquettes of cod and potatoes from Portugal, with a small sauce on the side. In the same vein, we think of the famous British fish & chips (fried fish and french fries). And for more exoticism, head to Brazil with mini shrimp skewers and roasted mango . You can also stay in France, offering toast with olive tapenade, capers and anchovies.
And for vegetarians?
A vegetarian and festive drink? It's possible ! Like our German neighbors, we put our hands in the dough and make pretzels that are both crisp and mellow. No time to prepare them? We order them directly from his baker! One can also take inspiration from traditional Spanish tapas and make several typical recipes: tortillas (potato omelette), pan con tomato (slices of bread rubbed with garlic and tomato with a drizzle of olive oil ), patatas bravas (cubed potatoes fried in olive oil) ... Finally, we fly to Uruguay with torta pascualina , a spinach and egg pie, traditionally made during the holidays Easter.
