A 'Secret of Mana' remake has been announced for PS4.
Square Enix confirmed on Friday (25.08.17) that it would be remaking the classic 'Seiken Densetsu 2' - known formerly in Europe and America as 'Secret of Mana'.
It will be renamed 'Seiken Densetsu 2: Secret of Mana' in Japan.
The game is expected to receive "upgraded gameplay" for modern platforms, and a newly-arranged musical score.
Anyone who pre-orders the game on the PlayStation Store will receive special character costumes: "Moogle Suit" for Randi, Primm and Popoi, "Tiger Two-Piece" for Primm and "Tiger Suit" for Randi and Popoi, as well as three PSN avatars.
Meanwhile, enthusiasts who pre-purchase the game or purchase the Day 1 Edition within the first week of the launch on Steam will receive the same costumes and a downloadable wallpaper too.
'Secret of Mana' was originally released by Square in 1993 for the SNES.
Directed by Koichi Ishii and produced and written by Hiromichi Tanaka, it featured couch co-op with up to three players.
The video game's remake will be available to play on PS4, PS Vita and Steam, and will launch worldwide on February 15, 2018.
