Sharon Stone comments on Madonna's spicy letter.
The pop queen wrote a letter in the 90s that let her frustration run wild that her colleagues Whitney Houston and Sharon Stone, unlike her, were so successful in show business. So the 'Hung Up' interpreter wrote that she "would rather die" than to be one of the two and that it was "humiliating" for her that the two stars were always taken as role models. The letter was published by Madonna's former art consultant Darlene Lutz on the auction website 'GottaHaveRockAndRoll.com'.
Meanwhile, Sharon Stone has become a close friend of the singer. On Facebook, she explains that there is no bad blood between the two icons - on the contrary. So she makes it clear: "Dear Madonna, first of all I think it is absurd for someone to publish your private letters. That's why I share this publicly. You should know that I am your friend." The 59-year-old also admits that she too often felt like a child: "In private moments, I often wished to be a rock star ... felt as insignificant as described. We as the ones who survived for so long , know that we have to admit our own mediocrity, because it is the only way to show our strengths and become what we have become. " The actress adds: "I love and admire you and will not be pitted against you by an invasion of your privacy."
