Raheem Sterling is taking extra shooting practice to improve his cutting edge in front of goal this season.
The England international winger came off the substitutes' bench earlier this week to rescue a point for ten-man Manchester City at home to Everton, and is hoping for a start in Saturday's lunchtime game at Bournemouth.
Sterling scored in both wins over the Cherries last term, going on to notch a total of ten goals and 15 assists over the course of the entire campaign.
City boss Pep Guardiola has recently spoken to the 22-year-old, however, about improving his finishing and being more direct when in on goal.
Sterling is believed to have recently taken it upon himself to stay behind after training with team-mates Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus to work on that aspect of his game.
Guardiola has a wealth of attacking options at his disposal and Sterling is aware City are looking to add to them with a huge offer for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez, who plays in the same position as the former Liverpool starlet, before the window closes next Thursday.
