Force India chief operating officer Otmar Szafnauer says the possibility of a ban is hanging over Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon.
Perez and Ocon collided on two occasions in the Belgium Grand Prix last time out and although the pair escaped without incident in the first coming together, they were not so lucky second time round.
Both cars picked up damage and the team lost crucial points as they continue to battle Red Bull, who endured a mixed day at Spa on Sunday, for third place in the Constructors' Championship.
Ocon did manage to recover from the second crash to finish ninth but Perez was unable to make his way through the field, eventually having to retire, although he was classified in 17th place due to 90 per cent of the race distance being completed.
Szafnauer is frustrated with the actions of the duo and has warned the team may have to look at other driving options if further incidents occur this season.
He told Autosport: "Yes. If it happens again, we have to figure it out. We would have to start thinking about who we would stick in the car. I am disappointed that they couldn’t sort it out, and that the team has to now play big brother.
"That is disappointing. But the team comes first and that is what we have to do."
