Take That have today (May 23) postponed a show set to take place at the Liverpool Echo Arena, following a gig they played at the location last night (May 22). The news comes as a reaction to the suicide bombing at Manchester’s Manchester Arena yesterday evening, just moments after Ariana Grande had left the stage following her live show.

In a statement, the group said: “Out of respect to all of the people and their families that were affected by the horrific incident last night at The Manchester Arena, we have decided to postpone our show tonight in Liverpool. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.”

No further information has been given by the group of their team, who are currently set to bring their Wonderland tour to Manchester in the coming days. As the hours tick by, it’s looking increasingly unlikely that the planned shows will be going ahead.
