If every year it is rehashed the importance of protecting and moisturizing your skin before and after exposure to the sun, the hair is often forgotten in the summer ... An oversight that usually leads to an unpleasant straw effect in the end of the season. To avoid cutting short in the fall, we adopt these few reflexes beauty.
We invest in anti-UV and repair treatments
To preserve her hair from the summer furnace, she is put in summer time with appropriate care, in three stages.
First of all, you can protect your hair with UV sprays or special sun cream / oils, to apply before and during exhibitions, like a sunscreen. They are applied at the time of hairstyling or directly on the spot, at the beach or the swimming pool to limit the damage of the infernal trio UV, salt, and chlorine, and we forget to renew the post bathing application.
In a second time, washing them in the evening after a day of beach or pool, to rid them of residues of sand, salt, chlorine and sun care.
Finally, in a third time, the fiber is repaired with hair conditioning treatments / hair masks repairers (that can be left under a towel before shower for even more efficiency) or with nourishing hair oils to apply after the shower to rehydrate the fiber manhandled during the day.
Limit the aggressions of the hair
As David Mallett, a famous hair expert, advises, "the important thing is to have the right actions". Having the right products is not enough; it is also necessary to think of rinsing the hair after each bath, whether it is at sea or in swimming pool, to eliminate the salt and the chlorine which dry the hair fiber for example.
Another reflex to preserve your hair by the sea: choose a hairstyle that will keep them in place. We often forget that the wind disfigures, entangles and breaks the hair fiber.
To stay in place, we opt for a braid , a bun or put on a patterned scarf, which protects them, prevents them from moving while being an ideal fashion accessory for the summer.
Colored hair: station with bad reflections
Colored or discolored hair requires special care because they are the first to suffer the harmful effects of sun, chlorine and salt: they become porous and the color tends to become dull or even to turn completely ... Result: blond green, browns become bland, copper reds turn orange!
If despite all the precautions above our color turns to disaster, there are special shampoos that limit or even neutralize unwanted color changes. Just ask our colorist.
