A star ingredient in a detox diet, lemon is first and foremost a unique fruit that gives flavor to our best recipes. It adds flavor to starters and dishes, but it is also the star ingredient in desserts that are more tasty than others. Here are our favorites.
What is the lemon season?
There are 2 varieties of lemons, lime and lemon. Grown in southern France but also in India, Mexico and Argentina (the world's top 3 producers), lemons reach maturity in January, February and March. This is the ideal time to consume them. If we love it, we can multiply the pleasures by looking at the diversity of citrus: lemon caviar, citron, kombawa ... the citrus family gathers nuggets with flavors as typical as colorful!
What are the best lemon desserts?
Difficult to establish a top! While some desserts honor citrus, a multitude of others associate it with several fruits or use it sparingly to give a little pep to a recipe. And everywhere, the lemon gives a little more. If we had to remember only one recipe, we would probably look for the lemon meringue pie that perfectly combines the acidity of the lemon with the sweetness of the meringue and the crunchiness of the dough. A dessert so tasty that it inspires many variations ... to find in our selection! On the safe side, the lemon cake is also a good choice ... and associations with exotic fruits are exciting!
