The jury of Top Chef: 9 stars in total in the Michelin guide
The jury brings together a total of 9 stars in the Michelin Guide, a score that welcomes M6. For this new season, exit Cyril Lignac, Thierry Marx, Ghislaine Arabian and Christian Constant. Since the 6th edition of Top Chef, Hélène Darroze and Michel Sarran have joinedJean-François Piège. The quartet is completed by a chef, already accustomed to the program: Philippe Etchebest, the Basque chef "à la grande gueule" of "Nightmare in Cuisine", also on M6. Jean François Piège remains the only historical juror of the program.
M6 relies on these new heads to raise the audiences of Top Chef
While the program is still popular with cooking fans and on social networks, Top Chef's audiences were down. Will renewing the jury suffice? Indeed, it is questionable whether the arrival of Hélène Darroze, Philippe Etchebest and Michel Sarran, alongside Jean-François Piège will give a new dynamic to the program that has accustomed us to increasingly crazy culinary challenges. Cooking in a camping, for weddings or for children ... we saw everything (or almost). Maybe the audience gets tired ...
Since 2015 there is even a mouthful in Top Chef
While waiting for the return of his culinary contest, M6 will broadcast "Objectif Top Chef". The show is entrusted to one of the jurors of Top Chef 2015, Philippe Etchebest who leaves to the 4 corners of France in search of the amateur cook who could integrate the contest thereafter.
The highlights of the Top Chef jury
- Hélène Darroze , a new female figure of the jury has made her classes among the teams of the chef Alain Ducasse in the prestigious Louis XV in Monaco. The chef who has his Parisian restaurant (4, rue d'Assas) is now at the head of the restaurant of the hotel The Connaught, in London, and a big fan of the network Instagram. No doubt she will share the behind-the-scenes of the show on her account.
Its strong point : its discrete personality goes hand in hand with a great demand in the kitchen.
- Michel Sarran, he learned the trade first with his mother, before also moving into the kitchens of Alain Ducasse then Michel Guérard (the father of dietary cooking) and Jean Michel Lorrain.
Its strong point : its outspokenness and its taste for culinary emotion. The candidates will have to surpass ....
- Philippe Etchebest : Already known for "Nightmare in the kitchen" and "Nightmare in the hotel", two programs of M6 in which he helps - without taking tweezers - restaurateurs and hoteliers in difficulty. Moreover, Philippe Etchebest obtained 2 stars in the Michelin Guide and was elected Best Worker of France in 2000. He has already intervened punctually in Top Chef in previous seasons.
Its strong point : Its big mouth can make thrilled Top Chef candidates who will have only one desire: to surpass themselves.
- Jean-François Piège : It has its own restaurant in Paris, the Thoumieux, where it offers affordable and chic cuisine. Elected "Chef of the Year" in 2011 by his peers, Jean-François Piège also has two Michelin stars. He has been a member of Top Chef's jury since the first season of the show.
His strong point : Between Michel Sarran and Philippe Etchebest, Jean-François Piège looks like a nice chef. But be careful this is to better sleep the candidates. In previous seasons of Top Chef, he always set the bar very high ...
