I have recently come back from one of the most beautiful hotels and settings I have ever been to, and boy have I been to a lot. The pictures do not do it justice you really need to be there to fully appreciate the beauty of the place.
I was invited to Le Palais Paysan a eighteen room boutique hotel that is in Marrakesh and has the most spectacular views of the Atlas Mountains. It is owned by two guys, one of which is an architect so no detail has been missed. From the large cube shape rooms to views that look like they are part of a framed picture
This beautiful hotel offers you peace and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. Within its grounds there is an on-site farm visible from your balcony and the pool area where they have donkeys, goats and chickens, also as you walk around the gardens they have their own olive trees
It is approximately a 30-minute drive from the airport, this hotel is built over two stories and contains sixteen deluxe bedrooms with the upper floors having two balconies. Each room has a huge bed, TV and finished with a traditional riad interior, terracotta and taupes totally gorgeous Each room has air conditioning which was much needed as we were in 42 degrees.
The interior of the lounge is soft and dark with big slouchy couches where you can just chill and relax but it has this enormous feature wall and fireplace in mirrored glass that would look amazing on a cold evening with a roaring fire
Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 10.30 with traditional food of pancakes cakes and croissants which were delicious especially if you you have a sweet tooth and what a view from the dinning terrace you really couldn’t want more.
Lunch is served 12.30 until 3pm, we had traditional food and even had the pleasure of a cooking master class with Chef Ali and his team on preparing a chicken tagine, and delicious it was and so much fun
The hotel doesn’t have a bar as such but if you require refreshments there is always someone around to assist you the staff are courteous and nothing was to much trouble. Again, if you decide to go to the infinity pool there is a bar there with a waiter on hand to prepare drinks for you while you laze under canopies on double sun loungers just taking in the breath-taking views around, you could also get snacks there. Everything about this hotel send out the message of relaxation, and a total retreat I’m sure an author or an artist would get inspiration from just being here
I decided I was going to visit the spa whilst I was at the hotel and opted for the ‘Hamman’ which is a purifying treatment with black soap and a wrapping cream ghassoul detoxification it leaves your skin feeling totally rejuvenated and glowing, getting rid of all the dead skin. I would definitely recommend that. They do offer lots of other beauty treatments and massages
The hotel also boasts a private house that is lived in by one of the owners and if you decide this is the place for you to get married, he lets you rent it so the bride and groom stay there with its own private pool.
If you want to have a holiday or wedding to remember this is the place to be spectacular and memorable
The hotel is called Le Palais Paysan its a boutique hotel with only 18 rooms sitting 25mins outside of Marrakesh Medina just before the Atlas mountains in a little Berber village
