The seventh season of 'American Horror Story' is titled 'Cult'.

A secret has long been kept around the continuation of the cult series by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. After the horror series creator, Murphy, recently announced on Twitter that Lena Dunham had joined the cast for season seven, he has now revealed more news. This time he briefly tweeted "AHS: CULT", thus solving the riddle of the title of the new season. Before that, he had fooled the fans a little and wrote: "It is not 'COLONY'", "It is not 'HIVE'" and "It is not 'ANN COULTER'".

The 'AHS' season will begin with the election night of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton - and thus provide an exciting start to the seventh part of the anthology series. However, the two opponents are not played by anyone and, according to the 'Billboard', can only be seen on TV. The cast for 'Cult' consists of recurring stars Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters and newcomers Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman and Colton Haynes, among others. Murphy already told 'THR' that he was concerned with "not just showing the obvious, unwavering view, but rather all sides of the equation."

The start date for the broadcast of 'American Horror Story: Cult' is September 5, 2017.
