Loosehead prop Gethin Jenkins hopes he can force his way back into the Wales set-up after recovering from injury.
The Cardiff Blues veteran is his country's most capped player, with 129 Test appearances in total.
But Jenkins, 36, hasn't featured for Wales in 2017 due to a pectoral injury and knee problems that required surgery.
He hopes he can force his way back into the national side for the November Tests against Australia, Georgia, New Zealand and South Africa.
"My first port of call is the Blues and I want to get back playing as soon as I can and we will see where it goes from there," Jenkins told the BBC.
"If you are in one of the regions you have a chance of playing for your country and that's the ultimate honour.
"I definitely have those ambitions.
"I was on a high last autumn after captaining Wales [against Australia, Argentina and South Africa], but injury struck and I missed a few months.
"I worked hard to get back but injury struck again.
"I have been rehabbing all summer and looking to get back third or fourth game of the coming season."
