Winter and summer alike, you can enjoy the sightseeing of unmissable places that make up the history of the city and moments of relaxation with green walks and moments at the spa. - The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa
This is "The Place to Be" of Bath Spa. Facing a large park, the hotel is housed in a crescent shaped John Wood building. The place is one of the most incredible of Bath, until becoming a must if you pass in the city. We go there for lodging (the French sommelier Jean-Marc Leitao is proud to share his favorites), for a typical afternoon tea modernized with champagne Taittinger, or for a relaxing session in the spa. You can also do everything for a memorable stay ... Typically English, the decoration gives the impression of living in a remote cottage in the countryside, creating this feeling of absolute calm, as if you were far from everything. - The crescent-shaped buildings of John Wood
In English, they are called "Crescent", an architectural form of buildings designed by Englishman John Wood, the architect of Bath Spa. The Royal Crescent Hotel is one of the most beautiful illustrations of his work. They have the particularity of being monumental by their rounded shape which reminds one of a crescent, all sublimated by levels that recall the Roman architecture with the Ionic columns at the first level, Doric at the second level, then Corinthian even more above. These buildings are one of the characteristics of the city of Bath, but there are also some in the embassy district of London.

It is not the most incredible restaurant, but we go there mainly for its brioche, the brioche of Bath that is not found anywhere else. The latter has the peculiarity of being round and simple in the making, but conceals a special recipe, specific to the city. Another brioche is also sold in Bath: the brioche with sugar and raisins. Attention, it is reserved for the big followers of sugar because the pastry cooks do not skimp on the doses ...
