David Wagner says Huddersfield must quickly forget about their Carabao Cup defeat at Crystal Palace and focus on the league again.
The Terriers were beaten 1-0 by Palace on Tuesday in the third round as Bakary Sako's goal gave Roy Hodgson a win in his second game in charge.
Wagner is aware it is a quick turnaround for his side as they now go to Burnley on Saturday back in the Premier League.
The Town boss says the cup exit must be put to the back of their minds as they aim to continue an impressive start to life in the top flight.
Wagner said: "Unfortunately we are now out of this competition and now it is all about the Premier League in the next few months, where we have to make sure that we still collect points like we have done in the past.
"For this we have to recover so we are as fresh as we can be for Saturday."
The German coach admitted his side had let themselves down in the first half at Selhurst Park as they fell behind and, even though they were much improved after the break, they couldn't get back into the tie.
He added on HTTV: "The second half was good - I am pleased with the second half - but the first half we were not good enough. We were second best.
"Too sloppy, too slow and we made too many mistakes.
"We spoke about this at half-time and I think the players showed a reaction in the second half, but unfortunately didn't get the goal and this is why we are now out of this competition."
