The story
The synopsis of Westworld has something to dream about. The series tells the story of an amusement park populated by robots, which allows visitors to delve into certain eras of our history. But when two friends decide to set out to conquer the wild west, their desire for western will go wrong. They will be attacked by an android who is the victim of a bug that decides to target them.
Why we look at Westworld ?
The Westworld series is one of the sensations of the year, and it is largely thanks to its producer. A man who knows science fiction, since he is none other than JJ Abrams, director of several parts of the Star Trek saga, as well as Star Wars VII: The awakening of strength .
The cast is not to be outdone: in the main roles are the incredible Anthony Hopkins ( The Silence of the Lambs, Dracula ... ) , alongside the equally incredible Evan Rachel Wood ( Whatever Works , The Marches of Power ) . Westworld : what did we like?
The Westworld series mixes genres and themes. Here, we find ourselves immersed in a universe of western, but accompanied by a futuristic technology. Two elements that are difficult to combine. Doctor Who had done it in an episode, very cliché. Westworld does it on a whole series, and it will have to hold on the length.
However, broadcasting on HBO is generally a guarantee of quality. After all, this is the channel that has made known Game of Thrones, Girls , or even Sex and the City. Ambitious, the series promises a real visual spectacle, and above all reflective themes, which evoke as well the dangers of a futuristic world as the artificial Intelligences and the robotics.
