What material for a summer wedding dress?
The bridesmaid dress is light, white, or punctuated with touches of color, the summer fabrics are aerial. The shoulders are stripped, the necklines are a little more marked at this season. There are essential materials such as silk.
- A wild silk wedding dress
Wild silk or silk taffeta are worn both in summer and winter. With timeless materials, it is the shape of the dress that sets the tone. In winter, accessories are added like a small court coat, a light shawl but covering to warm the more chilly.
- A cotton wedding dress
Worked in dive or honeycomb or creased like taffeta, the cotton always inspires the creators. It is fresh, young and pure, with a very romantic simplicity. Even the shawl can be made of cotton if it is particularly light.
- A linen wedding dress
Used a bit like cotton, it has a natural wrinkle. If you like the comfort of linen but less its inevitable crumpling, prefer it mixed with a small percentage of synthetic material that will give it a little more body. It is a very trendy material, which will go hand in hand with a country or country wedding. Indeed, often less white than cotton, it has a very natural connotation.
What material for a winter wedding dress?
Made in wealthier fabrics, we wear winter outfits with as much fun as summer wedding dresses. The creators play with the fabrics to harmonize with the season without transforming them into heavy and uncomfortable outfits. Freedom of movement is, as always, their preoccupation.
- A velvet wedding dress
Some creators put the spotlight on this matter, which is only worn in the coldest season. Extremely rich and soft, it will give a very couture look to your wedding dress. Often declined in dull and warm colors like plum or simply used for a shawl or a small coat, it is perfectly suited to one day outfits. Very refined also on wrists to finish a long sleeve.
- A Damask Wedding Dress
Often reserved for winter dresses for its very rich appearance, it brings elegance and hold to the simplest dresses. The choice of the damask is paramount because the patterns are very visible and play with contrasts. Bright, the damask does not appear under the same day according to the time. It can also be chosen for a wedding of back season, in September when the autumn is not very far.
- And the others…
Organdi, lace, guipures, organza, gazar, satin and beautiful embroideries remain unavoidable summer and winter. Each have varying shapes and accessories to make them lean rather towards one or the other of the seasons!
