ZeVisit, specialized in audio and video guided tours, integrates augmented reality into its iPhone application with three of its 2,000 tourist visits around the world, such as the Arche de la Defense in Paris . By filming different tourist sites via the application, visitors will see on their mobiles green vignettes on which it will be enough to click to obtain practical and historical information about the place.
ZeVisit in turn launches m-tourism in augmented reality thanks to the introduction of the TORA (Augmented Reality Orientation Table) mode in its iPhone application.
To access this new feature, users of the application will first be guided, thanks to the geolocation towards the orientation table closest to their position.
The video sensor of their mobile will then activate automatically allowing the user to shoot the landscape. Depending on the location, superimposed green pads will be embedded in the image. By clicking on it, the tourist will trigger audio and / or video sequences allowing to know more about the place.
Three panoramic places are now available in TORA mode. This is the case for the Fourvière Hill in front of Notre Dame in Lyon , the Grande Arche de la Defense in Paris and the Parvis of the Cathedral of Reims . As from next September, 20 new tourist destinations will be treated in augmented reality. In other words, ZeVisit aims to cover the 2,000 tourist visits offered through its application . The Androïd and Windows Phone mobile versions are under development.
The free ZeVisit application also allows tourists to have interactive digital guides, geo-location with tours, a list of points of interest as well as downloadable audio and video content.
The application of Zevisit can be downloaded for free from the App Store .
