My shower version without sulphate
Initially, these shower gels were a quest for beauty and softness for those with atopic skin. A few years ago, finding a sulphate-free shower gel was part of the fighter's journey, which usually ended up in an organic store ... or in the baby department.
But if it is not yet majority, this category of shower gels sees its number increase. The reasons ? More and more French women complain of having sensitive skin (62%) and the water more and more limestone does not help.
Indeed, if the sulfates are surfactants that allow the shower gel to foam, they strike the skin in the long term: tightness, dryness and redness ... at best. At worst: she can not stand anything. It is therefore avoided of toasting by opting daily for a shower gel without sulphates. Discover our dossier on cosmetics without sulphates.
How to recognize a sulphate free shower gel?
As often in cosmetics, when you want to know precisely what a product contains, it happens on the INCI list that lists 100% of the components. This contains S odium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and / or S odium Laureth Sulfate (SLEDS)? Then, your shower gel is formulated with sulphates .
Note that for the sake of transparency (and marketing?), More and more brands indicate on the packaging of cosmetics the mention "without sulphates".
