Aloe vera to relieve small wounds
The leaves of this plant contain a greenish liquid, slightly viscous, which would act faster than conventional treatments to heal burns , but also cesarean section and trauma of the cornea. The studies are still insufficient, but we can already use the aloe on small wounds or sunburn (just like lavender or baking soda).
Fish skin: economic bandage
Not glamorous but, a priori, very effective, the epidermis of tilapia (a very common freshwater fish) makes it possible to keep the wound in a humid environment , to stimulate the production of collagen and has an antibacterial effect. And as this "dressing" should not be changed every day, it is less expensive and avoids unnecessary suffering. Namely: a traditional dressing changes every day to prevent bacteria proliferate! Experiments are underway in Brazil on burns 2nd and 3rd degrees.
Honey to heal
We already know that honey is an excellent ally beauty, it is now exported in our first aid kit. The hospital of Limoges has been using it for 25 years to treat burns, bedsores and wounds of the abdomen. Honey contains enzymes that stimulate the activity of fibroblasts , cells that participate in the formation of the skin. It also has an antibacterial and painkiller action. There is now in the pharmacy medical honey in the form of balm, bandage or compress (Revamil, Melectis ...).
