West Brom look set for a battle to sign Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone, with Newcastle United thought to have joined the race.
Tony Pulis is believed to be keen to sign the former Tottenham star and feels the 30-year-old would be an ideal replacement for Darren Fletcher who moved to Stoke City this summer.
Huddlestone did sign a two-year deal last summer but, having seen the Tigers drop down to the Championship, it is thought the experienced midfielder is eager to make the quickest return to the top flight with a transfer.
However the Baggies will face stiff competition for the Nottingham-born player, with the Magpies also keen to bolster their options in the middle of the park.
