Leeds Rhinos forward Jordan Baldwinson has agreed to join Wakefield Trinity on a two-year contract from the start of next season.

The 22-year-old lock has featured 12 times for the Rhinos so far this year, while he has also made 14 appearances for Featherstone, with whom Leeds hold a dual-registration agreement.

However, the former New Zealand Warriors player will now make the short switch to the Beaumont Legal Stadium for next season and he admits the time is right to move onto pastures new.

"Leeds is a great club. I feel the time is right to move onto my next chapter," he told Wakefield's official website.

Wakefield have impressed in Super League this term, as they are currently fourth in the standings and they remain in the hunt to secure a place in the end of season playoffs.

Baldwinson certainly believes he is joining an improving team and is looking forward to becoming part of that progression next season.

He added: "The team are improving season after season and I'm keen to be a part of the journey."
