Tiemoue Bakayoko's £40m move from Monaco edged closer when he arrived at Chelsea's Cobham training facility on Friday.
The 22-year-old has travelled to London to undergo his medical after the two clubs agreed the transfer fee and terms of the deal this week.
Bakayoko uploaded an image of Chelsea's training pitches on Friday afternoon and, should he pass the examinations, he will become the club's second major signing this summer following Antonio Rudiger's arrival earlier this month.
He was given a warm welcome by some of his new Chelsea team-mates on Thursday night as he headed out for dinner with David Luiz and Willian.
Manchester United had registered an interest in Bakayoko earlier in the window, but Chelsea have always appeared to be keener on signing the Frenchman.
