After 17 years in the artistic direction of the Venetian house, the German Tomas Maier , 61, passes the hand to Daniel Lee, a young British designer of 32. Unknown to the seraglio, the designer who will take office on 1 July next presents a most remarkable CV . A graduate of Central Saint Martins, Daniel Lee was responsible for design at Céline, Phoebe Philo era, after passages noticed at Balenciaga , Maison Margiela or Donna Karan. For Bottega Veneta , the man will drive the women's and men's collections, but also the accessories, with the mission of seducing the younger generations, the new target of the luxury industry.
